Naima Mohamed-Rodríguez
I am a PhD student in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. My thesis is focused on the development of sustainable analytical methodologies for the analysis of lipid biomarkers. Modern archaeology is based on the bases of experimental sciences, so it is necessary to develop adequate methodologies for the analysis of biomarkers in archaeological samples that also comply with the principles of Green Chemistry. Currently, I am working on the optimization of chromatographic separation protocols and the detection conditions of the compounds of interest, using Gas Chromatography (GC) coupled to Mass Spectrometers (MS) and Isotopic Ratios (IRMS).
