My research has been focused mainly on marine dinoflagellate biotechnology. Research in this field involves the use of different techniques to carry out marine microorganism cultures, as well as their subsequent processing and phytochemical study to obtain interesting metabolites.

In addition to chromatographic techniques that allow the isolation of a diversity of natural products, I have used Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy to elucidate their chemical structures.

Working at the AMBI Lab is a great opportunity for me, as I can put into practice all the knowledge acquired throughout my career in marine sciences and organic chemistry. I believe in multidisciplinary research groups and hope to help advance in the management and method development of archaeological sample treatment towards gaining new information in our knowledge of Neanderthal societies.
