Particularly I think that the future will be cashless, technology is easing the path towards that near and plausible future. In fact, the biggest in the industry (FAAG) are making important moves in that direction. Recently Google Payment has been granted an e-money license in Lithuania; Facebook Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. have been expanding into financial services as well, the former obtained its permit in Ireland in 2016 , while Amazon Payments Europe has a license in Luxembourg.
Reality is changing at a ludicrous speed and traditional financial institutions might have problems to catch up.
