Dr. Hakim Faraji is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of La Laguna and holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry. His scientific background lies at the interface of analytical chemistry, materials chemistry, bioanalysis and applied research. His work has focused on green sample preparation, microextraction techniques, chemical separation, synthesis and characterization of sorbents and functional materials, and trace-level determination of analytes in complex matrices, including biological and environmental samples, using chromatographic, spectroscopic and mass-spectrometric approaches. He has carried out research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Beckman Institute, Azad University, Iran, and at the University of La Laguna through the María Zambrano and Talentum-TT postdoctoral programmes.

In recent years, he has incorporated 3D printing applied to chemistry and artificial intelligence/machine learning tools into his research and teaching activities, with a focus on the design, optimization, interpretation and teaching of chemical and analytical processes. This recent line of work has resulted in three scientific papers and one research and educational innovation project aimed at integrating digital technologies, additive manufacturing and predictive models into chemistry.

As a research collaborator at ENCAPBIO, he contributes to strengthening the analytical, bioanalytical and data-driven dimension of the group. His profile supports method development and validation for monitoring encapsulated molecules, physicochemical characterization of micro/nano-structured systems and polymeric platforms, controlled-release studies, and the interpretation of complex experimental datasets. In addition, his experience with 3D printing and computational tools may contribute to the design of devices, prototypes and experimental strategies for delivery systems, release studies, diagnostic platforms and bioanalytical evaluation. His profile combines analytical chemistry, functional materials, experimental design, knowledge transfer and educational innovation, providing a complementary perspective to the development of advanced encapsulation, drug delivery and diagnostic systems.
