Call for papers

A first international conference on » Visual methods for research in the fields of  communication» was held on 3 and 4 December 2018 at the University of La Laguna in  Tenerife, Spain. A partial publication of the proceedings is available online through Revista  Latina de Comunicación Social: http://www.revistalatinacs.org/18SLCS/libro-colectivo-2018- 2.html The forthcoming edition of a book by a scientific publisher should allow participants to  develop their work presented at this first symposium. Fifteen research groups and scientific  partners from five countries and three different continents have formed a network and  decided at the end of the 2018 conference to hold a second conference on 10 and 11 December 2021. 

The need to continue a reflection on visual methods appeared as a necessity to apprehend  other contemporary research fields and to make known innovative research postures. This conference is open to all disciplines and participants are invited to present visual approaches using design as a research method. A more restricted selection is also possible, focusing on the creation of visual or audiovisual content related to this notion of design.

Be part of Visual Modi

Visual Modi is an international research group open to diverse humanities disciplines that utilize (audio)visual and multimodal methods in their work. This association was created by the scientific committee of the international conference Visual Methods of Tenerife.

Researchers from “Visual Modi” currently come from 4 continents (Africa, North America, South America, and Europe).
So Visual Modi use four official languages are English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
