      The venue: Tenerife

Tenerife is one of the largest islands in the Canary Archipelago (Spain), located at 100 km off the coast of Africa. Teide National Park, is a unique landscape of craters, volcanoes, and rivers of petrified lava, surrounding the impressive silhouette of Teide Volcano, the highest mountain in Spain, that stands at 3,718m above sea level.

      How to get Tenerife Island

There are many daily flights connecting Tenerife with mainland Spain and other European airports. On Tenerife Island there are two airports: Tenerife North – Los Rodeos-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport (TFN) and Tenerife South – Reina Sofia Airport (TFS). We recommend TFN because of its proximity to La Laguna (see below).

      How to get La Laguna

      A) From Tenerife Norte Airport (Los Rodeos Ciudad de La Laguna)
      – By Taxi: 5/10 min (10 – 15 € aprox.)
      – By Bus: (Line 20) 5/10 min

      B) From Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofía)
      – By Taxi: 1 hour (90 – 100 € aprox.)
      – By Bus: (Lines 10+15) 1h 30 min (10 € aprox.)

You can get good airfares by booking early, November is not too early. There are two airports on Tenerife Island: TFN about 6 km from the centre of La Laguna (by taxi 10 euros) and TFS about 70 km (by taxi 90-100 euros). I highly recommend the TFN airport.
