Sin embargo, a pesar de ser habituales, est\u00e1n poco estudiadas. El objetivo de este estudio fue describir la recuperaci\u00f3n natural de la comunidad de peces bent\u00f3nicos sobre nuevos flujos de lava. Realizamos muestreos peri\u00f3dicos hasta 26 meses despu\u00e9s de que finalizara la erupci\u00f3n. Al final del seguimiento, la comunidad de peces se ha recuperado pr\u00e1cticamente por completo. Solo unas pocas especies permanecieron sin detectarse dentro de los flujos de lava. Se detectaron dos patrones de colonizaci\u00f3n: colonizadores adultos y juveniles procedentes de \u00e1reas cercanas, y nuevos reclutas, que posteriormente se convirtieron en la fuente m\u00e1s importante de individuos. No se observ\u00f3 recambio de especies. Las especies territoriales y menos m\u00f3viles mostraron cierto retraso en la colonizaci\u00f3n de los flujos de lava. However, despite being common these are understudied. The aim of this study was to describe the natural recovery of the benthic fish community on new lava flows. We performed periodic sampling until 26 months after the eruption ended. By the end of the monitoring, the fish community has practically recovered completely. Only a few of species remained undetected within the lava flows. Two patterns of colonisation were detected, adults and juvenile colonisers from nearby areas, and new recruits, that later became the most important source of individuals. No species turnover was observed. Territorial and less mobile species exhibited a certain delay in the colonisation of lava flows.
