El trabajo caracteriza qu\u00edmicamente el sistema de Punta de Fuencaliente, documentando un gradiente de pH (7.12-8.07) que replica condiciones futuras predichas. Mediante metabarcoding de ADN, se revelan altos niveles de diversidad taxon\u00f3mica en \u00e1reas acidificadas, sugiriendo que las comunidades futuras mantendr\u00e1n diversidad pero tender\u00e1n hacia la miniaturizaci\u00f3n con especies peque\u00f1as y cr\u00edpticas.<br \/>Adem\u00e1s, se valida la Hip\u00f3tesis de Perturbaciones Intermedias, mostrando que la diversidad gen\u00e9tica y taxon\u00f3mica alcanza m\u00e1ximos bajo fluctuaciones intermedias de pH.
