Advances in Marine Biology 80, 57-99.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb4.9.7&#8243; _module_preset=\u00bbdefault\u00bb]\n<p>La actividad humana est\u00e1 generando un exceso de CO2 atmosf\u00e9rico, lo que da lugar a lo que conocemos como acidificaci\u00f3n de los oc\u00e9anos, que produce cambios en los ecosistemas marinos. Hasta hace poco, la mayor parte de las investigaciones en este \u00e1mbito se hab\u00edan realizado en condiciones de laboratorio a peque\u00f1a escala, utilizando pocas variables, pocas especies y pocas etapas del ciclo vital. Estas limitaciones plantean dudas sobre la reproducibilidad del medio y sobre la importancia de los efectos indirectos y las sinergias en los resultados finales de estos experimentos. Una forma de abordar estos problemas experimentales es realizar estudios in situ, en zonas naturales donde ya se dan las condiciones de pH previstas para el futuro, como los sistemas de emisiones naturales de CO2. Until recently, most of the research in this area had been done under small-scale, laboratory conditions, using few variables, few species and few life cycle stages. These limitations raise questions about the reproducibility of the environment and about the importance of indirect effects and synergies in the final results of these experiments. One way to address these experimental problems is by conducting studies in situ, in natural areas where expected future pH conditions already occur, such as CO2 vent systems.
