Effect of Ocean Acidification on Sea Urchins Populations

My research aims to determine the effects of ocean acidification over early stages of sea urchin Diadema africanum and Paracentrotus lividus covering key issues of urchin population dynamics such as growth or predation of the newly settled individuals. Currently, I have a postgraduate fellowship associated with the project ACIDROCK. I have also worked on scientific monitoring in the marine reserves (Mar de las Calmas, La Graciosa and Cabo Palos- Isla Hormiga), and I have collaborated in other investigations about fishery resources in the Platform of Portugal.
