Development of Empirical Research Methods)

Life-Time Career Award

The Award for Distinguished contributions in Methodology (Research and Development of Empirical Research Methods) is intended to recognize an individual who has made noteworthy contributions to research or development of methodology in different fields of the Behavioral, Social, Educational, Health and Economic Sciences and who has had a positive impact at either an international level or within their home country, that represents a model for others to follow. Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Innovative methodology
  • Contributions to statistics or research in Behavioral, Social, Educational, Health and Economic Sciences
  • Improved research methods in Social or Behavioral Sciences

Nominees must (a) have a research career of 30 years or more at the time of nomination, and (b) nominated at least by one or two senior EAM members.
All nominators must submit:

  • A nomination letter describing the nominee’s contributions (maximum length 3 pages).
  • Two letters of support from two different countries.
  • A current copy of the nominee’s Curriculum Vitae highlighting the scholarly accomplishments relevant to the nomination.

The recipient of the award will receive free conference registration, and one travel grant to attend the EAM Conference. The recipient of the award will be invited to a short presentation at the congress to share his/her main contributions to the field.
