Most of my contributions are on the topics of hominid paleoenvironments, Paleolithic fire, the Neanderthals, and method &amp; theory. Recently, I have become interested in the peopling of the Canary Islands and carry out geoarchaeological research at several aboriginal sites. Fieldwork is one of my priorities. I am currently director of excavations at El Salt and Abric del Pastor, two Middle Palaeolithic sites in Alcoy, Spain.
